Helping French companies to do business in Hungary

Since the early 1990s, French businesses have been developing a significant presence in Hungary. Well-known international names as well as small and medium enterprises combine to make France one of the top4 foreign investors in our country, with approximately 350 French companies in Hungary employing over 56,000 people. Supporting incoming and expanding French businesses has always been an important part of the services which Gobert, Fest and Partners Attorneys at Law / Taxand provide and since 2008, we have had a dedicated French Desk, led by dr. Attila Fest, with support from Anna-Maria Veres and dr. Agnes Agoston.

With such a strong commitment to the French business community, we had developed a strong relationship with the Franco-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce (CCIFH), which has over 200 members. Presentations by our lawyers Anna-Maria Veres and dr. Agnes Agoston were made at the "M2M" meeting organised by the Chamber. We have been interviewed in the CCIFH journal and an article about the authorization of the establishment of wind-power installation in Hungary was published in the same journal.

We have also published several articles on employment law, banking and finance law and in international transport law in Le Journal Francophone de Budapest, a bi-monthly publication for the French business community in Hungary.
